This Is Bonnie and Clyde's Electric Car
All due respect to the Chevy Volt and Tesla Roadster, but the 1920s-inspired Takayanagi Miluira Retro EV just became my electric car of choice. Good thing it's a one-seater, so I don't have to share.
The Miluira apparently has about a 22 mile range and a top speed of 37mph, so it's not exactly highway-appropriate. And the batteries are lead-acid instead of standard (and far inferior) lithium found in most electric vehicles today. The full (Google-translated) spec rundown:
But whatever the Miluira's technical shortcomings, its artistic merit scores are off the charts. It's expected to ship next spring for around $75,000, which is fine by me; no way I'm driving this baby under anything but warm, sunny skies.
